In my Greek mythology class, we have to write a weekly 2 page response paper.
This week’s question was “Who is Odysseus?”
I doodled this picture for my paper lolololo
I wonder what my professor will say lololololo
Whoops, originally drew it for the blog but uploaded it on my deviantART.
I guess I can upload it here too :)
New plan: Take all my artistic flaws and embrace them. :)
How To Steal Like An Artist (And 9 Other Things Nobody Told Me)
10 things I wish somebody told me when I was in college.
Pretty much all of this. Wow. ♥
The first bit about originality (of how nothing is original) really spoke to me :)
I guess it just sometimes feel super frustrating because people are always labeling things “Oh wow! That’s so original!” or “dude that’s so generic and unoriginal” but seriously… there is nothing new. I think creativity is another matter though, like doing something that’s quite refreshingly “new” or something. But anywho.
First year of college, I slowly started to discover that things that I once thought were original pieces and works aren’t. They’ve all been done before. I fell into an angry mental spazz for a while ‘cause I wanted to believe there was something original still left in the world, but in all seriousness… There are currently 6 billion people on earth today, and I can’t even fathom the number of souls that once occupied a body. What makes you think that nobody’s ever thought of something remotely close to your idea before?
One time in lecture, I sat next to this super brilliant kid and had one of the most influential 10 minute conversations I’ve had. Basically, he told me to name whatever movie that was recently put out in theaters (I picked Iron Man 2) and he deconstructed the storyline and related it back to ancient Greek/Roman/English plays. He told me that all plots can be deconstructed and fit into some plot structure that was already thought of before in the past—which is pretty amazing in my book. After that, I never saw him even once every again but what he told me influenced me so much :) Suddenly, here I am loving the ancient worlds even more and minoring in classical studies. I would so double major if I could <3
Anyways, I’m going off topic :I I rarely recommend readings to anyone, but you should! Really good read!

“17. Abyssal Plate”
Just totally went for something MMORPG-lookin’ cause I only had 15 minutes to respond to the topic e_e;;; I sorta like it tho ;u;” Couldn’t finish coloring. O WELL!

Doing a 15 minute challenge sketch session with a friend and his other buddy where we roll dice and get a prompt :)
Mine was “7. Quintessence of Mortality”
So here it is… me being hit by a car … o_o;;
More to come :) Ongoing right now~

Cracked open my sketch book and saw some of my old sketch drawings from 5-6 months ago :) Had to take this one open art class and the TA made us turn in a sketchbook filled with 50 random sketches at the end of the quarter but of course I procrastinated until the night before it was due :I Just super quick, not made to impress anyone o_o Just to get it done…haha.
I stood up til 3 AM doodling nonsense cause I didn’t know what to draw for 40 pages?? For some reason I did a mini alien series where he travels around—which I sorta like :D But then by the end I drew Teletubbies strangling each other… wth.
Posting it up I guess in hopes that someone else finds some lulz out of it lololo

It’s funny how the weather over here changes from really cloudy and cold to really sunny and warm over here, and I guess it’s sort of how people’s moods work too.
First week of class again for the new quarter, and I have to say I’m loving them all for once :) Especially classes I’m taking for classical studies… Something about the stories of Greek gods and goddesses that really get to me—which is funny ‘cause back in senior year high school when my AP Literature teacher told us we’re going to learn about them, I felt like leaving the room cause I didn’t want to deal with it. Two years later, here I am, trying to minor in it lololo :)
Surprisingly, my professor’s lecture yesterday really spoke to me. She was talking about the general format of Greek stories, but for some reason, it felt like she was talking to me about my life. o_o
I dunno, for some reason the stories really speak to me for some reason, and I left that lecture that day frolicking through a field of flowers ~ (actually, it was a mini forest of dead leaves and branches but you get the point)
I feel like rambling on for some more but I have class in 20 minutes. :) lalala
